Of course, the fatigue failure mechanism of materials is complex, but experience has proved that poor design of parts, poor manufacturing quality, installation or use of improper is often the specific cause of mechanical overall damage.


2, because the parts of the coupling wear each other during operation, the size changes resulting in damage. This kind of damage is called to be examined with a general measuring tool. Commonly used measuring tools are precision 0.01mm- 0.02mm vernier caliper, micrometer, dial indicator and so on.


3, due to the operation process, the coupling parts overheating, extrusion and other conditions, resulting in changes in the mechanical properties of the surface resulting in damage. This kind of damage is called using tools such as files, grinding blocks or other instruments to determine the hardness of the surface layer, and using eyes to observe the extrusion of parts. When these defects exist, even if the wear of the size and shape of the part does not exceed the allowable range, it is sometimes necessary to identify the part as scrapped according to the impact of the change in the mechanical properties of the surface layer on the coupling.


4, due to the external force of the coupling parts during the operation process, the parts are bent, twisted, elliptical or other special-shaped changes, this change is usually called the geometric loss of the parts. The measurement method of this kind of damage is basically the same as that of class measurement. Deformation of parts such as bending can sometimes be checked with a dial indicator on the lathe.

Conclusion:

The coupling is processed by machining methods such as turning, milling and broaching, and then goes through integral heat treatment. With sufficient mechanical strength, there is also a claw disk on the market that is a casting, which can be produced in large quantities and avoid processing losses. Therefore, the price is much lower than that of machining, but the performance of castings is not very good. It is better not to use in some important occasions where the coupling is used. In addition, the jaw teeth of castings are prone to fall off at high speed or under high load.
