Description:

The drum-type coupling is a rigid flexible coupling with radial, axial and angular axis deviation compensation ability. Compared with the CL type straight-type coupling, it has the advantages of compact structure, small turning radius, large bearing capacity, low transmission, low noise and long maintenance cycle.

Drum gear coupling, its rigidity, flexibility, no elasticity, so it is not suitable for vibration reduction, buffering and two-axis alignment requirements of the strict machinery.

Location of the drum gear coupling:

1, bearing. Under the same outer diameter of the inner gear sleeve and the big outer diameter of the coupling, the bearing capacity of the drum gear coupling is increased by 15 ~ 20% on average than that of the straight gear coupling.


2, the end of the outer gear sleeve is horn shape, so that the inner and outer teeth are convenient to install and disassemble.


3, transmission up to 99.7%.


4, the drum tooth surface makes the contact conditions of the inner and outer teeth, avoiding the disadvantages of the straight tooth end edge extrusion and stress concentration under the conditions of angular displacement, and at the same time, the tooth surface friction and wear conditions reduce the noise and the maintenance cycle is long.


5. Large amount of angular displacement compensation. When the radial displacement is equal to zero, the allowable angular displacement of the straight gear coupling is 1&ordm, and the allowable angular displacement of the drum gear coupling is 1&ordm30, which is increased by 50%. Under the same modulus, number of teeth and tooth width, the drum teeth are larger than the allowable angular displacement of the straight teeth.

Damage causes of drum gear coupling:


1, in the use of couplings, shafting equipment such as diesel engines, gear boxes, shafting and couplings in the design and use is complementary to each other, the level of design and manufacturing is relatively high, so that the design of the ship's quality is also high.


2, mainly because the words and deeds of the host shock absorber sinks, so that the shaft of the coupling has an asymmetric situation, thus increasing the additional torque, so that the coupling in the use of heat fracture accident.


3, because the use of couplings is relatively wide, in many industries have a wide range of use. It may be used improperly in the specific situation, or it is not considered when used, which will also cause the coupling to be damaged when used.
