As the anchor bolts of the main fuel pump of the unit were not fixed well (later found), there was a phenomenon of poor meshing between the main and auxiliary screws of the main fuel pump, which caused the load of the auxiliary coupling to be larger than normal, and accelerated the damage of the auxiliary drum gear coupling. If the fault is detected and dealt with in time, and the tripping occurs in the operation of the unit due to this fault, the unit will lose turning after emergency shutdown, and the high temperature during shutdown will lead to quite serious damage to the unit.
High elasticity of drum gear coupling:
Drum gear coupling has high elasticity (low stiffness, large flexibility), the nominal torque Angle is 10 degrees, the maximum torque is 25 degrees, can reduce the natural vibration frequency of shafting, change the torque characteristics of the diesel engine power plant shafting, so that the diesel engine in the required speed range without dangerous resonance speed. It can absorb and reduce the fluctuation of the output torque of the diesel engine. For the diesel engine power plant equipped with reduction gear box, it can reduce the knock on the gear face when the torque changes and prolong the service life of the gear.
