Tire couplings are a common use and have the advantages of ideal coupling applications, including taper sleeve retention. The Tire Coupling is a "torsional elastic" coupling that provides designers and engineers with a universal coupling with a choice of flange assemblies to suit a variety of applications. Flanges are fitted with F or H taper sleeves or are provided with bore diameters. With the addition of a locator flange, the coupling can be used to connect two shafts with standard end-to-end spacing and facilitate pump maintenance.

The tire coupling is divided into two categories: convex type and concave type. Their common feature is that the tire ring is bolted to connect the two halves of the coupling to realize the connection of the two shafts. The inner side of the tire ring is bonded to the steel frame by vulcanization, and the bolt holes on the frame are welded with nuts. During assembly, bolts are used to connect the flanges of the two halves of the coupling, and the torque is transmitted by the friction force between the tire and the flange end face by tightening the bolts. The torsional shear deformation occurs when the tire ring works, so the tire coupling It has high elasticity, great ability to compensate the relative displacement of the two axes, good damping, simple structure, no need for lubrication, convenient assembly and disassembly and maintenance.
