Jacket couplings are often used in mixers used in chemical production, and mechanical equipment such as rotary dryers, crushers, ball mills and other mechanical equipment have generally adopted hydraulic couplings for transmission in recent years. Large-scale boiler feed pumps use speed-regulating hydraulic couplings, which have good flow regulation performance and can reduce power consumption. The high-pressure methyl ammonia pump in the urea plant is a large-scale plunger pump. In order to adapt to the flow changes required by the process, this pump adopts a hydraulic torque converter.
Usually, the collet coupling first uses two axially divided collets, and the bolts in it are clamped to realize the connection between the two shafts. The friction force transmits the torque, and the flat key is used as an auxiliary connection.
The collet coupling is a rigid coupling because it does not have a compensating effect. At the same time, the jacket coupling is also a relatively simple physical structure among many couplings.
