The shrinkage rate of the body is 10 ~ 14%, and the linear shrinkage is 1.8 ~ 2.5%. In order to prevent defects such as insufficient pouring, cold isolation, shrinkage cavity and porosity, crack and sand, etc., more complex technological measures than cast iron are adopted.
1. Due to the poor fluidity of liquid steel, in order to prevent cold insulation and insufficient pouring of cast steel, the wall thickness of cast steel can not be less than 8mm; The structure of pouring system should be simple, and the section size is larger than that of cast iron. Use dry casting or hot casting; Appropriately increase the pouring temperature, generally 1520° ~ 1600 ° C, because the pouring temperature is high, the superheat of molten steel is large, the liquid time is long, the liquidity can be obtained. But too high pouring temperature will cause coarse grain, hot crack, porosity and sand and other defects. Therefore, generally small, thin wall and complex shape castings, the pouring temperature is about the melting point temperature of steel +150℃; The pouring temperature of large and thick wall castings is about 100℃ higher than its melting point. 2. Due to the shrinkage of cast steel, cast iron is greatly overcast. In order to prevent shrinkage and porosity defects in castings, riser, cold iron and subsidy are mostly adopted in the casting process to achieve sequential solidification.
In addition, in order to prevent shrinkage holes, porosity, porosity and cracks in steel castings, the wall thickness should be uniform, the sharp Angle and right Angle structure should be avoided, the sawdust should be added to the mold sand, the coke should be added to the core, and the hollow core and oil sand core should be used to make the sand or core yield and permeability.
